Why does Spellchecker not pick up a single i as opposed to I?

I can't think how i can appear alone.................( if you see what i mean )

and sunday

all of which are spelled correctly, and offers to replace them with,

Monday

is't it.

They're not - the correct spelling is always the capitalised way as they're names.
