Thanks  Had to make a couple for relatives this week and am really doubting them slightly but least the last few card orders have gone down a storm so much I have a Xmas order |

GOT SOME NEWS I have been asked to make samples for a lady doing a TV show on Create n Craft on 4th Sept She likes my work and I got some freebie goodies to play with to make said samples  So am in sample making over drive |

If it stresses you out then you shouldn't be doing it.
It just shows you how good you are... for someone to even ask you to do the samples for her.

Right you lot need some help making a decision as my gutt instinct is saying one thing and head is saying another thing  An issue has cropped up via the blog challenge I DT (design team) for - as DT you are meant to make a card/object using Letraset pens (promarkers etc) to your OWN interpretation of a theme Well upcoming challenge - simply given as " Autumn Leaves" so I chose to use autumn leaves colours and flowers and made the card below but now they are trying to dictate HOW I interpret the theme and saying this isn't suitable or good enough I used to enjoy DTing for this blog but alot of pressure and stress is coming from it now and am THINKING I need to step down and walk away which is what my GUT says is right to do but head says " you worked hard to get here - stay and ignore the mounting stress"  Opinion wanted ?? Asking and showing this here as doubt anyone on the blog bar me is here I've recently made samples for a loverly lady who is doing a demo show on Create n Craft TV 4th Sept and I loved that so much it makes me think if I aint enjoying DTing for the challenge blog (PFP - passion for promarkers) then I shouldnt be doing I can guess opinion but thought would put more detail here as I cant on FB as blog leader is on my friends list on FB  |

Yes... you know how I feel about this. Donna... the card making you do started as a new hobby that you really enjoyed doing. Mainly you still do enjoy it and the few that order cards appreciate them and it gives you a few extra pennies for more supplies. It is a hobby. It is fun. It is something you enjoy doing. It leaves you in the position of being your own boss. No matter how happy you are at being asked to be part of a design team... when the fun disappears and people start dictating their wants to you then it's time to say goodbye! It's different if you are asked to make a card for a customer... they give you an idea of what they want and pay you for doing it. When somebody tells you that your interpretation is wrong then the time has come to tell them 'thanks but no thanks'. Unfortunately (for you) there seems to be a lot of bitchiness in a lot of the craft groups. Go back to doing it as a hobby and enjoy it. You know that you are good at what you do... you don't need their approval, nor do you need them pinching your ideas. Do it when you want and how you want and above all else enjoy it! Stress is the last thing you need so just say cheerio to them. I know it will be so tempting to add a few choice words for them but they really aren't worth even that. Ignore the rising stress at your own peril!  I do go on a bit,don't I?  The demo show on Create n Craft TV sounds interesting... |

I knew you'd talk sense I wanted to say more on FB but I didnt dare  I am in team 2 and currently its our week and I dont feel I cam step down part way through the week so will talk to the leader Mond as Tues is swap over day  I do the crafting like you say as a hobby and to stay sane and thinkt he stress sometimes just is far to high and takes the fin out of it Even though the "samples" for the demo show for a lady called Aly who is great were short notice I loved doing them and she loved the cards when they got there Weds Should be 4th Sept on Create n Craft at 10am unless they change the programming - theres a couple of us made samples so am hoping some of my 9x will get shown I do think at the end of the the current challenge week I need to step down from PFP (passion for promarkers) so I can get back to the crafting I need to do for ME |
