A particular bit of software kept "phoning home" every time I opened it, so I went into  settings in KIS 2012 / Firewall and set access rights for that software to "prompt for action" and eventually to "block".

In each case the software continued to phone home  with no problem.

Am I doin' summat wrong, or missing the point ....................again.  thinking

 thank you

I used to use clichés all the time, now I avoid them like the plague, these days a cliché to me, is like a red rag to a bull.

which program?
was it set in KIS whitelist to allow/ignore?

Some programs phone home as a check on legitimacy every start & no legitimate Firewall or security software will ever block those

If it doesn't fit that criteria, then either you were blocking the wrong process or there is a fault with KIS & you need to post on their forum for support & advice
