I did install it, and the flash player version for Opera.
I couldn't figure out how to set my 'home page' which is the daily mail (yeah I know....comic newspaper) but I like it.
Hitting the 'home' button just brought up the Opera page. There were buttons up the top of the page, and all were greyed out except 'find' or something.
I trawled through the preferences menu, but couldn't find how to set a web site as the 'home page'.....I just wanted the option like in IE under tools/internet options/use current page.......after I have loaded up the DM site, and job done. After about ten minutes I still couldn't figure it out.
Then tried the 'show all toolbars' hoping to find some other options which took up a good third of my 24" monitor, so unticked that little monster.
I could have spent more time trying to understand how to set it up and stuff, but a lot of time and effort to try and knock a browser into shape just didn't seem worth it.
So being me, I got bored with all the options which I probably won't use, or even know what they are for, so uninstalled it as an unecessary irritation.
You know about these things, and how they work, so you can sort things out quickly..........I fell out of love for it when just trying to set my 'home page'..........not a lot of patience there then.
So, back to IE8 which I know how to set up....easily as there is not much to it.
