Here Kitty Kitty...

« on: Jul 03, 12, 06:50 AM »

I am getting so hacked off with this weather, and on looking at a couple of forecasts it seems I am in for another week of misery with perhaps the odd bit of sunshine now and again........possibly.

It is so depressing (for me anyway) to have this constant rain/drizzle day in day out for weeks on end. The grass needs cutting.....again.....me and tother half can't really go out and enjoy a cuppa and a sticky bun on a sea front somewhere.............it is just endless rain and bloody drizzle all the time.

The days are getting shorter, and it seems that Christmas is racing towards me with the same weather, only colder.

I should have put this in the 'rants' section, but being of a grumpy disposition again I plonked my rant in here, and I don't feel any better for it either.... Smiley
I know it is just me being awkward though, ho hum.

Over the weekend we had the sum total of about 6 hours of sunshine - but at least it came at the right time so everybody could enjoy some music outdoor if they didn't mind getting very muddy indeed.

One complicating factor for our music festival is that most of the site is on a one-in-four slope, so when that gets slimy it becomes rather a pantomime moving the trucks about to pitch marquees and such - I'm mighty glad that was somebody else's problem!

What was my problem was trying to photograph the event without landing on my fat & hairy  Shocked

Babs & John dedicated their photographic endeavours mainly to a single stage as they usually do to avoid too much running around, so muggins 'ere gets to run around like a blue-arsed fly... which in the usual run of things is a good thing because I could do with the exercise, but I don't mind admitting I was rather brokted by bed-time on Sunday because that hill was fekkin' hard work in that state.

I can almost hear again now... I couldn't for most of yesterday  paranoid

Too true, as you get older (certainly in my case) I find that some extra exercise which I would easily cope with in my younger days, just about completely knackers me for the rest of the day, and that annoys me too.  Grin
This crap weather has really put the kybosh on a number of outdoor events, but pleased to see that you came through it all with some aches and pains, but otherwise unscathed.

At least you got some sunshine, so that must have stopped a soggy event from turning into a really soggy event.  Smiley

I sympathise wholeheartedly, especially as it's supposed to be your Summertime I imagine,  Roll Eyes

our weather is pretty cold & wet & not much sunshine, but at least it is to be expected in our Winter in Melbourne.

Sounds like you could have used some footy boots in those slippery conditions Genial HostYup

I did consider it, but as one stage is on asphalt they'd be bloody lethal there even though they'd have been mighty handy everywhere else.

I just stuck to a pair of trainers rather than wellies, knowing that they'd would get full of mud anyway and the trainers would be less likely to get left behind in the middle of a puddle!
