The first glimmers of sunrise are rather pretty to look at.

But it would have been much better if I'd managed to get some sleep before seeing it... nearly 4am and there's no sign of that happening yet.  Roll Eyes

I have had nights like that, which is when I nip out for a drive somewhere in peace and quiet and walk along a beach somewhere, and even better if there is a full moon.
As for the beautiful mornings, a few start off well like yesterday and today, and then the clouds and rain invade and ruin the day after a few hours of a bit of sunshine.
Bah, and bloody humbugs.

Full moon reflected off the sea has the potential for a good picture...

For some reason, I never seem to have a working camera with me on such occasions... Blush
But the beach is lit up like daylight with no need for torches, and can easily read notice boards of 'You are here' etc... Grin

The only uncomfortable bit, is being out in the wilds and rumour of a Black Panther being on the loose somewhere...this has been mentioned for years. If I see the glow of two rather large green eyes in the dark...........I am off.... bolt Grin

You are more likely to see the black helicopters or a black caravan than a black panther on the island

The reason being, of course, you didn't pick it up before you left. Charge up the batteries, put it somewhere you can easily get it, and take it with you.
See.
'Tis easy.
Then you can show us all the wonderful sights.
And the caravans.

You forgot the bit about making sure the memory card is in it.

Not for the first time Wink

Because you never listen to me! Before you know it you'll be blaming me for nagging...   Yup

The camera could protect you and maybe make you rich too. Hopefully the flash would scare the cat away and you would be the first to have his picture.    Grin

Our camera won't work off ordinary batteries so I have to use rechargeable ones. The ones I have seem to be a bit duff or the charger is on the way out.
It is the same as my mobile phone, as I rarely use it so never take that with me either.
I am not really into cameras, but now and again I wish I had ours with me........................not often though.

The only thing I have right is the memory card remains installed in the thing.

There have been rumours of a Black Panther on the loose, and a few 'sightings' but probably just folklore....at least I hope so. It is rather spooky out there at the beach I go to, since there are no houses around for a mile or so.

All good fun though.

You...nag me Babs ?.......................Heaven forbid I would entertain such an idea.  Grin Flowers
If I had the camera with me, the picture would probably show a close up of the back of its throat.... Grin

Then sort those batteries out and start taking the camera with you on your jaunts.

It's not just pictures that you are taking but memories that you will be saving.   Yup    Kiss

I know............looking back how I wish I took pictures at the time so that I can look back on the days when my body and mind worked as it should without bits seizing up or falling off.  Grin
I do have a fair few though.

I suppose a camera is like my mobile phone, I scarcely think about it, so it doesn't get charged up.
Not something to rummage about for at something like 3am or thereabouts before I nip off joy riding.

Apart from that, pictures that I take would not win any prizes, but are a source of amusement.

Pictures don't have to win prizes... for me they are mostly memories.  Yup

True, and I sometimes look back over the years with my small collection.
But for me to post pictures that I have taken are only really of interest to me to capture a point in time and don't think that they would be of interest to anyone else. Smiley

To revive and old thread...............just found the camera out and shoved two freshly charged new batteries into it, but it is u/s.
Sometimes it will switch on and then shut off. Others it wil extend the lens and then won't retrieve it back into the body.
Or, it won't switch on at all. Tried another set, and no joy on them either.
So I guess it is buggered, so no camera now.

Mind you, it is about 14 years old as I bought it (around £250 in Currys) in 2005/6 at Christmas.
Tis a Casio Exilim Z120 7.2mp.
So I can't take any pic's even if I wanted to now.

Nice little camera but sadly it appears to be Kaput as a parrot. All in very good conditon, except it doesn't work.  Grin
