Watch it full-screen!

This is some on-board video through the bomb-aimer's blister on the Vulcan... while it's performing a display  Yup

It still handles better than most modern planes despite being almost 60 years old -so graceful  Cheesy

Looks very good full screen on my 24" main monitor.

I also noticed a Lancaster parked up along side a couple of hangars at the end of the runway.

I used to see Vulcans in service at RAF Waddington - the V-Force - and the road was not too far from them that we got quite a good few as we trundled along in a mates car on our way to RAF Digby.

Also the Vulcans were the only chance of making a raid n Port Stanley airfield which was not a great success, but probably made the Argies ears ring a bit though. Grin

It was enough of a success to make the runway u/s for any plane big enough to be a nuisance - also it was almost 500 miles further than the Argentine capital on the mainland which showed them they could get more than double that bomb-load there if sufficiently motivated... it would only need doing once.

And she's still capable of that same mission now if need be  Yup

I wonder if the Argies are quietly keeping an eye on her in case she gets a bit frisky again. Grin

But, I am wondering if the Vulcan had to make such a trip in anger if there are enough support tankers to keep her flying as was the complicated support given on the last raid. I also believe because of logistical problems the Vulcan actually scheduled to do the bombing was getting rather low on fuel and may have had to abort.........but the crew were determined to press on regardless.
This is vaguely remember from a documentart made about the raid a couple of months ago.
