Embedding Music
« on: May 07, 10, 02:25 PM »
I know how to do it in an email, but is it allowed in a post in here, and in fact can it be done?

ps I don't mean a whole bloody song, just a line.

I used to use clichs all the time, now I avoid them like the plague, these days a clich to me, is like a red rag to a bull.
"I'm an idiot, I've just realised"..."I don't think"....outrageously quoted out of context.

It's very poor form to embed music in a page unless it's only started when the reader asks for it - if somebody is having a sneaky browse at work it could get them the sack otherwise - and it's often just plain annoying.

The easiest way is to upload whatever you want to youtube - the embedding tool is ready made then, and behaves in a 'safe' way.

I can't stand sites which play (often crap) music at you as soon as you open them.

I don't come across too many of those these days though.
The winds of night so softly are sighing
Soon they will fly your troubles to sea.

ditto, what I wanted to do was put one line of a song in a post ( not to play automatically, but to have something peeps could click on to play it )

Just a thought, but I agree about webpages that talk to you or play music, I switch my sound off.

I appreciate that,  :tnx:

It was summat that was topical yesterday, not so much today, but if a similar moment occurs I may take you up on that.

It wouldn't have been something like "Buddy, can you spare 500 million", in honour of a certain club's debts, perchance?  :hysterical:
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Good job too, since if you did you'd probably be seeing more red than the Liverpool FC accountant....
