My therapist has told me not to talk about the "previous match", so roll on Algeria. ::)

Barring one particular howler we won't talk about, England didn't actually look bad... unsurprisingly they lost a bit a steam after that setback, but there were some encouraging signs - even Heskey justified his existence, and that doesn't happen very often!

I actually have a lot of time for Heskey, yes he doesn't score a lot, but all the time the defenders are worrying about him, others score.

He has a serious "presence" in the box.

imho

My therapist told me the exact opposite , speak about it and dont stop.  :nut:

But here is a crumb of comfort if ever the woes of England slip into the woes of Liverpool.

Its only 29 mins long , but scores very high on the  :hysterical: and  :gig: counter.

See the whole England camp has gone down with a bug, Its ok though.......Robbie Green was the only one who didnt catch it

Fabio Capello was asked about Robbie Green and told the media that the pre-match snack was what caused the problem today.

It would have been fun seeing extended 3 minutes adverts for Pizza Hut so they can get all the heroes in.

But Green has already been signed up:

And Beckham , of course , is in the big league:

I remember from past World Cups that the group stages can be something of a letdown, with the best matches usually coming from the "unfancied" pairings. Frankly, this current one is proving eminently forgettable. The idea that it's more important not to lose than to go out and win seems a common approach here.

I'm hoping for something special from Brazil tonight - but then I remember that this team is a far cry from those of the past in terms of playing style - more's the pity.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.
