This is for those of you who like to use plug in air fresheners.Rachel was changing hers and putting in a refill. The old one cracked open in her hands, the jelly substance spilled out and now she has the most awful, raw and painful ,second degree chemical burns i have ever seen .Antibiotics, pain killers and a special cream have not touched the pain and they are not healing. She has now got to go regularly to have the burns dressed and her hand bandaged up.Most of her right hand is affected but it is also on her left fingers.Everything she tries to do is agony

She had to go to a special  burns unit yesterday,60 miles away. They have had to cut off her rings as her fingers were so swollen. Her skin is literally peeling away, and she is now bandaged up.Obviously she is finding it very difficult to do anything

Ouch...

We don't use anything like that in our house anyway, but thanks for the heads-up - that sounds nasty.  :(

A good old fashioned fart is just as effective, makes you feel better, and is a damn sight cheaper.   :fart1:

That is terrible... and being a plug in they'd be at child level.

kids aren't likely to change the refills on them but no one ever things of the dangers of a nice smelling thingy

There really should be strong warning on the packets etc but of course there aren't
