That's great news Donna,

it will take a little getting used to I suspect, I can just imagine you zipping around in it.

We have a TV identity who was born disabled & very short with short arms &
I often see him in his little van going through McDonalds drive through.

Freedom again. xxx

I'm thrilled for you too Donna;D

you can get out & about even when the weather is miserable rather than being stuck indoors.

Happy motoring.  8)

It's so important to be comfortable with the car & it's operation & manouvreability,
it looks very snazzy & hope you have many happy journeys in it.  :juice:

I was wondering if Mum would be up to outings in it with you, even if she can't walk too far & has to stay in the car, it would blow the cobwebs away & be a change of scenery.

If I can get her too the car then yes but her mobility isnt great hun - but we do have my dads old wheelchair to use for her when out BUT gotta get her down our long path safely first :u NOT easy but least I am mobile in a more suitable car for me as the mokka was too big and I defo dont want another turbo car again ;)

Yes it also means whether you can fit the wheelchair in the car, sounds like quite an effort.

My little Micra is very easy to drive & park etc. compared to the large Commodore, it also has side airbags which is much safer.

Mine just beeps if the seatbelt isn't done up, when reversing, if the handbrake isn't on when you switch off or when the door isn't shut or keys in car if trying to lock it.  ;)

That sounds like progress a bit at a time, but I know it must be frustrating.

I'm having problems with my neck & shoulders still with my trapped brachial nerve & lost a lot of strength these days,
but still do as much as I can.

I'm smiling a lot better now with new uppers.  ;D

Take Care.  :)

Just popped in here to be nosy .... ;D
Yvonne, what med's do you get given for your painful neck and shoulder ?
I only say this because I woke up one Friday morning a couple of years ago, and had trouble getting out of bed (not that it is unusual.... :)), and had to wait until Monday to get an appt. with the quack.
I was prescribed Tramadol, utterly useless and did nothing for the lower back pain, and made me feel like crap, then it was Zapain, which again was just as useless, on the third visit a few weeks later, I was give Gabapentin.
Now that worked pretty quickly on the usual 3 per day, and after about a week, I weened myself off them like 2 per day, one per day, and then none at all.
They worked brilliantly, and as was soon skipping about like a new lamb........well, actually bumbling about like a lost one............but felt very much better and best of all......no more pain in the back.

Whether these would work on you I don't know, as I am no Dr. Watson - although the name is the same  :) - but would it be worth asking ?

Perhaps you just need a good rub down with baby oil.....
I intend to live forever. So far, so good - But, too many Birthdays can kill you.

Hi Baron:D
fancy finding you here,  :D

I only take pain killers when the pain gets bad, I take Efexor to relax the muscles a bit & know when I forget one.
I see a chiropractor & He wrings my neck,  :D .... my knee is playing up now so will have to get the lower back adjusted again.

I've been recommended Elmer oil for painful muscles by SIL. so will have to give it a try.  ;)

I only popped in here to see what you were up to............. :gig:

Oh dear, that sounds very annoying and painful...

I also got given some 'heat' cream for the back, but didn't make a lot of difference either.
I even got sent to a pin Doctor....acupuncture ....for a few sessions, with this Chinese therapist, which didn't do a lot for me either, and boy, did she have strong fingers with her manipulations with my knackered body !  :o
But it was something different to try, and with needles shoved into my back in various places, I started to look like a hedgehog...

But, I guess all you can do is grin and bear it, and enjoy the relief when the pain killers kick in.

How long have you suffered like this.....some time I guess ?

I wish you luck and relief from pain... :flowers:
