Best Antivirus prog
« on: Nov 29, 18, 10:09 PM »
Hey good peeps. Hope you're all well.

My Norton Antivirus subs runs out mid January and I'm reluctant to pay to keep it going.
Advice appreciated: should I keep paying? Or is there a good free alternative?

My sub includes up to three computers - I have a desk top and a laptop.

What OS are you using ?

If W10, then stick with the free Windows Defender
for anything else I use Eset Nod and don't really like Norton, but if it works for you then stick with it

Thanks, Derek.
Windows 10 OS

So once Norton sub runs out, you suggest I just use Windows Defender. Thanks for that.

I just leave it to MSE for Win 7 and Defender for W10.
I gave up using different AV software many years ago.
I also gave up on MBAM, because I had paid for it, but last year (I think) it wanted me to fork out some 30 for a year's protection, so dumped it.
I don't use the free one either because I think after about 14 days or something, you get nagged to pay to upgrade it.
I intend to live forever. So far, so good - But, too many Birthdays can kill you.
