Foxy loxy
« on: Dec 04, 18, 09:38 PM »
The birds were going mad at something yesterday & I thought it was a cat,
but on investigating saw a fox trying to jump the fence & then running behind the shed.

very unusual for suburban gardens here, especially in the middle of the day.

We get them, here, quite a lot.  :)

I put some waste food out, for them, in the shitty weather.

They're usually down the creek here, this was a young one that somehow got lost.

I was told yesterday that foxes have killed all the peacocks at the historic manshion of Ripponlea in Melbourne,
very sad.  :(

:(

'course, the foxes don't know that's naughty...

We had a vixen, in here, last afternoon. Looked very fit and well, thankfully.

I can claim a hedgehog snuffling about in my back garden one evening, about a year ago, and that's about it...

Foxy Loxy has been back & is leaving deposits on my back lawn,
maybe he's marking his territory.  ::)

Have you ever heard hedgehogs mating?

They sure seem to be enjoying it and seem to want the whole neighbourhood to know it! :)

I believe Tortoises make a fair old racket when the male and female get together for some 'exercise'.... ;D

Hogs grunt and pant, extremely loudly.

Our garden seems to be some kind of safe zone, for the local wildlife. We get all sorts, all in at the same time, many of which would naturally predate the others, which is kinda cute.

The only kill I've ever seen, here, was when a sparrowhawk shot down and took a starling.

Shit, they can move quick...
