Well, I ran Vista 64 Ultimate (and have the discs for the 32 and 64 bit versions), and actually liked it.
I didn't suffer from Gfx card breakdowns, as I ran AMD/ATI  cards, originally a pair of the toaster 4870X2 Radeons, until one went u/s, and ended up with a pair of Gigabyte 6870OC cards still working but now a reserve PC, and not used.

I liked Vista, and smiled at everyone and their pet worms complaining about how bad Vista was, whereas I had virtually no problems at all using it (except problems caused by me), and, they were the first discs that I actually bought, instead of using 'donated' OS's as previous..... ;D

I only went to Windows 8 > 8.1 because it was new, and the same for Windows 7, and eventually 10, which worked just fine and was happy with it until MS screwed it up about a year ago.

He talks about all the bloat ware in Vista, but didn't know the future with Windows 10, which is overloaded with it, and much, much worse, with tons of crap I don't want or will ever use.

I did try installing Vista recently, which went fine, until wanting to install drivers, where my incompetence made me give up.....

Still running Vista because I have so much stuff on my laptop I am continually putting off doing a clean install of W7. Works just fine for me.

I think W7 is the best on my system out of all the offerings, certainlyl runs better than W10 which should be chucked down the nearest mine shaft.  :bolt:

 :wave1:
Now what should I put here?? Let me have a think.....

Yep I did try to install Vista Ult again, but was put off a bit because my 'modern' motherboard only has drivers from Win 7 upwards.
Windows 10 I will run perhaps once a month, just to update the thing, but not for daily use because a game which used to run just fine, now won't because it runs like warmed up treacle. Since I play it for about an hour or so every day, it seems pointless to reboot with Win 7.
